The year 2025 came to a close with numerous significant milestones, recognizing the persistent efforts and collective contributions of the academic staff at LHU in its journey to enhance education quality, expand partnerships, and strengthen its position within Vietnam’s higher education system.

LHU's impression, international impact

One of the year’s strategic highlights was LHU’s continued effective implementation of its strategic partnership with Arizona State University (USA). This serves as a vital foundation for the University to accelerate the internationalization of academic programs, access advanced educational models, and enhance global integration capacity for both faculty members and students.

In terms of academic reputation and social impact, LHU ranked top 16 among Vietnamese universities in The Impact Rankings 2025, affirming the University’s meaningful contributions to the community, society, and sustainable development.

Numbers that speak

The year 2025 also marked notable growth in faculty and academic programs, as the University welcomed two Associate Professors as full-time staff members, launched two new academic majors, and achieved AUN-QA accreditation for 8 academic programs, including 4 master’s programs. 4 new practice rooms were also invested in and put into operation, contributing to enhanced learning, hands-on practice, and research conditions for students in line with the University’s application-oriented approach.

Regarding scientific research and innovation, LHU recorded 127 international publications, 12 international awards, and 39 national awards achieved by lecturers and students. Notably, technology transfer activities continued to be strengthened, with 55 contracts resulting in nearly VND 9 billion in revenue, reinforcing the University’s role in translating knowledge into practical applications.

Cooperation and connectivity activities continued to expand, with 47 international cooperation agreements and 52 MoUs signed, alongside 81 enterprises directly visiting the University for recruitment, interviews, and engagement with students, effectively bridging education and the labor market.

Strengthening industry connections and student support

Alongside academic development and partnerships, student support remained a key priority. In 2025, the University mobilized VND 2 billion for its scholarship fund, awarded nearly VND 10 billion in scholarships, and granted 66 international scholarships to students, creating favorable conditions for learners to pursue their studies, personal development, and holistic growth.

Development orientation for 2026

Entering 2026, based on the results and achievements of 2025, LHU continues to pursue a sustainable development orientation, focusing on improving education quality, strengthening scientific research, and expanding domestic and international cooperation. The University will further review and refine its application-oriented curricula, enhance linkages with enterprises and labor market demands, and continue investing in faculty development, facilities, and the learning environment.

In 2026, LHU seeks to further promote internationalization, knowledge transfer, and innovation as key drivers for enhancing competitiveness and academic reputation. Concurrently, student care, comprehensive student development, and the promotion of humanistic values in education will remain central priorities. With unity and a strong sense of responsibility across its academic community, LHU aspires to continue creating practical benefits for learners, partners, and society - steadfastly advancing toward its goal of becoming one of Vietnam’s leading application-oriented universities by 2030.
