Enterprise Advisory Board Accompanies the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies in the 2023–2024 Academic Year

“Small Contributions, Big Impact” – Enterprise Advisory Board Accompanies the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies in the 2023–2024 Academic Year

On the morning of June 23, 2024, at the conference room of Campus 1, the Enterprise Advisory Board meeting took place with the participation of the university leadership, the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, the Admissions and Public Relations Center of Lac Hong University, and representatives from long-established businesses in the province and neighboring areas.

The Advisory Board includes enterprises from sectors such as health, languages, economics, and engineering, including: Dong Nai General Hospital No.2 JSC; Royal Ceramic Group; Dong Nai Corporate Legal Advisory Club; Dao Phat Dat Investment Co., Ltd.; EWA Design & Construction Co., Ltd.; Center for Foreign Languages and Informatics – Eastern International University; Vietnam IOT Software Solutions Co., Ltd.; Chi Thanh E&C Investment and Development JSC; E.Z.I Outdoor Co., Ltd.; Sacombank – Dong Nai Branch; SHB Bank – Dong Nai Branch.

This event aimed to improve graduate program outcomes, curriculum development, and academic activities for both Master’s and Doctoral programs. At the same time, it sought to maintain and strengthen connections between the University and domestic and international businesses, contributing to the development of training, scientific research, and collaborative efforts between enterprises and the University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Vice Rector of Lac Hong University, stated:

“The university’s mission is to train high-quality human resources to meet the needs of society. By 2030, Lac Hong University aims to become an application-oriented university, driven by ambition and a strong commitment to leading Vietnam.”

Dr. Lu Phi Nga, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, shared:
“The role of the Enterprise Advisory Board is twofold: for the University, it helps improve training quality, develop academic programs, and define learning outcomes; for enterprises, it is a meaningful activity that contributes to society, business development, and the cultivation of qualified human resources.”

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, a member of the Enterprise Advisory Board and an alumnus of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, remarked:
“Having interacted with about 20 universities in the South, I find Lac Hong University to be the only one with multiple campuses located within the same geographic area—very convenient for movement and coordination. When it comes to contributing ideas to academic programs or research directions, we believe that enterprises can make a ‘small contribution that creates a storm.’ With responsibility and engagement come benefits. Enterprises will apply their expertise in specific fields to support the Faculty, the University, and the learners, offering new perspectives that aid their development in both work and research.”

Lac Hong University was the first university established in Dong Nai Province and has now been in operation for 27 years. From its origins as a private university, it has since become a fully-fledged non-public institution, with the aim of supplying a skilled workforce for industrial zones in the area.

Following a provincial resolution on postgraduate education, in 2009 the University launched its first two Master’s programs in Information Technology and Business Administration. Over time, more programs were added. Currently, LHU offers eight Master’s programs and two Doctoral programs—a result of the collective and ongoing effort of the University’s leadership and staff.

The University's mission is to train high-quality human resources to meet societal needs. This is demonstrated by its partnerships with more than 600 enterprises, both locally and internationally.

The quality of education is also shown in the fact that ten academic programs have been accredited under AUN-QA standards and two programs under ABET standards. Recently, LHU proudly welcomed the AUN-QA evaluation team for an institutional-level assessment.

By 2030, Lac Hong University envisions becoming a leading application-oriented university in Vietnam, driven by ambition and excellence.

Additionally, 2024 marks the first time a joint graduation ceremony was held for the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies together with undergraduate faculties, featuring all academic levels: Doctoral, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Engineer’s, and Pharmacist degrees.

For the first time, the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies established an Enterprise Advisory Board, creating a close partnership with the business sector. Lac Hong University commits to supporting businesses in their path to success. Training programs will be designed to meet the output standards required by both enterprises and government agencies. It is essential for businesses and organizations to contribute ideas and actively participate in building effective training programs.

With the experience of alumni, doctoral researchers, and academic leaders, the Faculty’s postgraduate programs will continue to evolve in service of society. Enterprises not only provide real-world experiences to students but also play a crucial role in postgraduate education by supplying high-quality human resources for government agencies, organizations, and the Party. With a spirit of collaboration and dedication, businesses help foster generations of knowledge, practical Master's theses, and meaningful doctoral dissertations that contribute to the nation’s development.

Close cooperation with the business community not only improves educational quality but also provides students with real-world experience, making them more prepared to meet the demands of today’s labor market.
