[FAIE] Opening Ceremony of the Sports Tournament for Students of the Faculty of Administration International Economics, Academic Year 2023–2024

In order to create an exciting atmosphere in response to Youth Month 2024 and to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931 – 26/3/2024), at 4:30 PM on 15 March 2024 at the Physical Education Ground of Lac Hong University, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union – Student Union of the Faculty of Administration International Economics organized the Sports Tournament for Faculty Students.

The tournament included the following competition categories: tug-of-war, sack race, and football, aimed at creating a meaningful sporting playground for students of the Faculty. In addition, the event provided an opportunity to strengthen the close bonds among class members, among student cohorts, and especially to “connect circles of friendship” across different academic years.

Present at the opening ceremony were:

1. MB Ta Thi Thanh Huong – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Administration and International Economics;

2. Comrade Truong Le Bao Trinh – Secretary of the University Youth Union;

3. Comrade Vo Thai Sinh – Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Administration and International Economics and Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee;
   along with faculty, lecturers, staff, and more than 300 students attending the event.

More than 300 students from 18 classes representing the majors of Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism and Travel Management, International Business, and Economic Law took part in the tournament.

The first competition to kick off the tournament was the sack race, in which the energetic and coordinated movements of the students demonstrated their physical strength, agility, and balance. This generated a joyful atmosphere clearly reflected in the enthusiastic cheers of the supporters.

Amid the growing excitement of the sack race, the tug-of-war contest further ignited the afternoon with the wholehearted unity shown by the competing classes. The spirit of teamwork and collective strength for shared glory, along with thunderous applause and chants of “keep going”, seemed to make the sky look more beautiful that day, dispelling even the blazing summer sun.

This spirit also served as motivation for the upcoming football matches, where players from the classes entered the field with heroic and enthusiastic energy for matches taking place from 15 March to 30 March 2024.

Let’s cheer for the teams, heat up the atmosphere, and enjoy the exciting and dynamic matches. Each class should demonstrate strong solidarity and sportsmanship in order to compete for the prestigious victory!
